A tasty dip perfect for enjoying with your friends and family.
2 tbsp butter
2-3 medium yellow onions, finely chopped
1/2 tsp fine sea salt
1 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 cup cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp soy sauce
3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese, divided
Pepper and salt, to taste
Cooking spray
1 baguette, sliced and toasted, for serving
Heat the butter in a large skillet, then add chopped onions and salt
Cook for 10-15 minutes, then add the thyme and sugar.
Stir to combine, then add the balsamic vinegar and cook for additional 5 minutes, stirring from time to time.
Set the onion aside to cool down.
In a mixing bowl, mix the cream cheese, spices, 2/4 cup cheddar cheeese and soy sauce together, then add the onion and stir to combine.
Taste the dip and add more salt abd pepper if needed.
Preheat your Fritaire to 400F
Spray a 9 -inch round baking dish with cooking spray, then fill it with the cheese and onion mixture.
Cover the mixture with the remaining cheese and cook for 20 minutes or until melted and bubbly.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
