Caramelized Onion Dip ⁠

A tasty dip perfect for enjoying with your friends and family.⁠

2 tbsp butter ⁠
2-3 medium yellow onions, finely chopped ⁠
1/2 tsp fine sea salt⁠
1 tbsp granulated sugar ⁠
2 tsp fresh thyme leaves ⁠
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar ⁠
1 cup cream cheese, at room temperature ⁠
1/2 tsp garlic powder ⁠
1/2 tsp smoked paprika ⁠
1 tbsp soy sauce ⁠
3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese, divided ⁠
Pepper and salt, to taste ⁠
Cooking spray ⁠
1 baguette, sliced and toasted, for serving ⁠

Heat the butter in a large skillet, then add chopped onions and salt ⁠
Cook for 10-15 minutes, then add the thyme and sugar. ⁠
Stir to combine, then add the balsamic vinegar and cook for additional 5 minutes, stirring from time to time. ⁠
Set the onion aside to cool down. ⁠
In a mixing bowl, mix the cream cheese, spices, 2/4 cup cheddar cheeese and soy sauce together, then add the onion and stir to combine. ⁠
Taste the dip and add more salt abd pepper if needed. ⁠
Preheat your Fritaire to 400F ⁠
Spray a 9 -inch round baking dish with cooking spray, then fill it with the cheese and onion mixture. ⁠
Cover the mixture with the remaining cheese and cook for 20 minutes or until melted and bubbly. ⁠
Serve immediately and enjoy. ⁠
